Motomachi is a historic neighborhood in Kobe that is known for its narrow streets and traditional buildings. The area was developed during the Meiji era(and After World War II), when Kobe became a major port city and international trade hub. This cafe is open in a corner of such a historic old building.

Japan has a unique and diverse culture of sweets and desserts, and many of these delicacies have gained popularity around the world. The city of Kobe, in particular, has a long history of producing high-quality confectionery.

Japanese "small cafes" have undergone their own unique evolution compared to those around the world, with a focus on diversity, quality of service, and even artistic and fashion elements. HitoToColo Cafe, which has been around since 2004, is one of the small cafes loved by locals as a hidden gem in Kobe. Please feel free to stop by.
